Sorry, Devices are Broken (Solo-exhibition) at Synnika Space, Frankfurt, Germany (July 30th-August 7th 2026)

"What do you normally expect from an ordinary set of speakers?"

When devices no longer perform their intended functions, this conceptual media installation titled "Sorry, Devices are Broken" challenges long-standing boundaries of artistic classifications on which we were grounded. It disrupts the foundational functions of media equipment that audiences have been familiar with for decades, opening up space to explore new aesthetic contexts by applying synesthesia studies, a neurological phenomenon where stimulated senses trigger involuntary experiences in unrelated senses to connect the relevance between sight and sound (Chromesthesia), and indirectly link to other senses (touch, taste, smell). The concept questions the definition of aesthetic experience by inviting you to move beyond sensory bases, achieving comprehension through perception and interpreting its communication freely.

"When you are dreaming, are you alive or dead ?"

The work presents a missing link between life and death in an unconscious state. When you enter a state of slumber, your body is beyond control, you are unconscious, and everything becomes unpredictable. Meanwhile, your brain continues to work, creating sights and sounds drawn from past experiences. Are the people, places, events, and even yourself actually real? This artwork takes you on a deep dive through complex dimensions using translucent imagery, as if you are stepping between the realms of life and death.
